If your HP printer says "Offline" even though it is turned on and connected, you're not alone. This is one of the most common HP printer issues. Follow these steps in order.
Quick Fix First (Try This First)
- Turn off your HP printer using the power button.
- Unplug the power cord from the printer and the wall socket.
- Restart your WiFi router (unplug for 30 seconds).
- Restart your computer or phone.
- Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
- Wait 1 minute and check if the printer status changes to Online.
Method 1: Fix HP Printer Offline on Windows
- Right-click the Start button and select Settings.
- Go to Bluetooth & devices → Printers & scanners.
- Click on your HP printer and select Open print queue.
- Cancel all pending print jobs.
