Step-by-step solution

  1. Open a web browser on your computer or smartphone and go to ij.start.canon.
  2. Select your Canon printer model from the list or enter the model number manually.
  3. Choose your operating system (Windows, macOS, or mobile) when prompted.
  4. Download and run the Canon setup software or follow the on-screen wireless connection instructions.
  5. When asked, put your Canon printer into WiFi setup mode (usually by holding the WiFi button until the light flashes).
